Content Analysis is a research technique used in varied fields of education such as management, marketing, health and social sciences, to study verbal and written material. The technique is based on a set of codes that reduce volumes of material into more manageable data. This coding helps researcher to identify patterns and gain insight, which further simplifies its analysis. Researchers can use this qualitative method of analysis to develop theory and identify themes from the verbal and printed material. Unlike the quantitative analysis techniques, inductive analysis is well-suited for research where few or no previous studies of the problem or phenomenon under study exist.
